Outcasts: The ADAM Project

From left to right, Akai, Aoi, and Midori - the Outcast squadron!
Outcasts:
The ADAM Project, is my second manga idea. It differs from Dragon
Angel Tai in that this manga was better suited to being told in
a closed fashion - in other words, it has a beginning, a middle,
and an end. As such, I might pursue this idea before I pursue Dragon
Angel Tai.
This manga concerns three raptors:
Midori, the reluctant leader of the group; Aoi, the beautiful hacker;
and Akai, the buff hotheaded one. When the tale begins, all three
are convicts, sentenced to serve the rest of their lives in a maximum-security
women's prison on Reptorian moon Omicron. Each was charged with
a separate crime. Midori was sentenced for assault against her former
boyfriend, although she maintains he threatened their hatchling
and was only protecting it. Nevertheless, the courts never saw it
that way and she lost all rights to the child as well. Aoi was charged
with hacking into the Reptorian government's sophisticated computer
network, which brought the city to its knees for a week. Finally,
Akai was charged for a spree of armed robberies across planet Reptoria.
Needless to say, each has had their
troubles in life.
But today, a dark threat looms
over Reptoria. That threat is the Dark Claw - a malicious criminal
organization that masterminded and executed a plan to steal the
government's most dangerous weapon, codenamed ADAM. Although the
government has a military, the Prime Minister has another plan in
mind. Rather than send troops out against the Dark Claw, a small,
elite team of raptors would be assembled. Raptors are, after all,
regarded as the lowest-class in Reptoria. Eventually, the news gets
to the warden of the prison and he knows just the three for the
dangerous job.
And if they die, who cares, right?
I mean they are merely inmates, the Prime Minister thinks.
So Midori, Aoi, and Akai are outfitted
with the latest armor and weaponry technology and are given a simple
proposition - complete the mission of retrieving ADAM and gain freedom.
Of course, their activity is closely monitored by the government,
and each wears a Bomb Collar around the neck.
One might wonder - what with three
female raptors going into battle together - if there is something
more between them than just sharing a cell. Indeed, there is. Each
has a very strong emotional bond for the other. And they say there's
no loyalty amongst thieves.
